Send my book to my Kindle

Attention! Some books are not available in Kindle format. Carefully review the availability information before buying by selecting the option “Any device” in the search field.

The file format primarily used for Kindle, sold by Amazon, is Mobipocket (filename extension .mobi or .prc). It is a less evolved format than ePub. Therefore, there is a risk that it may display differently dependent upon the Kindle version that you are using. If you see a problem, send us an email, stating your order number, and we will try to see with the editor if it could be improved.

Automatically receive your files through a network

7Switch can automatically synchronize non-DRM titles in your library with your Kindle: to do this, your e-reader or Kindle app will need to be connected to the network (with airplane mode inactive)

Configuration (once and for all)

Amazon Side

Connect to your Amazon account and go to “Manage your Content and Devices”, then click on the “Settings” tab. On the bottom of the page, you will find the section “Approved Personal Document E-mail List”. Click on “Add a new approved e-mail address” and add @7switch.com to the list.

Write down your Kindle email address displayed in the “Send-to-Kindle E-Mail Settings”.

7Switch side

Go into your user menu then click on “Services”. Click on the “Send to Kindle” button, and put in the Kindle email address written down in the previous step.

It’s done! From now on, for all Kindle format titles in your library, the download menu will display a new synchronization button next to the Kindle download button.

To display your book, just to click on this button, then connect your device to the network until “Newly downloaded titles” appears after a few minutes. Do not forget to turn “airplane” mode back on to save your battery.

From your computer

Among the reading options that appear for each of your 7Switch library books, choose the Kindle download button and put the file on your computer.

Next, plug your Kindle into your computer using a suitable USB cable: it will appear as an external device after a few seconds. Drag the freshly downloaded .mobi file to your Kindle folder, then eject your device. Your document is now visible on your device.
